In a recent article, I showed you how to earn 80K American Airlines miles with a single credit card signup (as well as 65K miles for the AA business card). While the best redemption value of those miles is for flights (if you find availability), you can also book free hotels through AA’s AAdvantage Hotels portal. Behind the scenes, it’s powered by Rocket Travel by Agoda.

Most of your favorite hotels in Central Pattaya should be available; it’s mostly a matter of having sufficient miles to pay for them. If you hold a Citi AAdvantage credit card, the miles-per-night cost is lower.

One of my favorite hotels in Pattaya is April Suites; clean, quiet, modern, and has affordable mid-range prices. It’s not in the thick of things, but close enough considering it’s on the Second Road baht bus line and a 5 minute walk to the Soi Buakhao baht bus line.

Recently I booked a one-week (7 night) stay at April Suites using approximately AA 30K for early March of 2026. Taxes are included in the booking so there’s nothing extra to pay. There were miles + cash options, one of which was 22,600 points + USD $78. To put this in perspective, priced out on Agoda.com, a week’s stay at April Suites for the same week I booked was was approximately USD $277 including taxes.

It’s a speculative booking since I’m not 100% sure of my plans. I didn’t mind because this particular booking with miles has free cancellation up to around 3 days before the date of check-in. I’m also monitoring Agoda.com to see if prices fall. March is still considered High Season, so the cost per week could be less if you check availability for other times during the year.

In the same month, if you booked two weeks at April Suites using AA miles, it’s another ~30K miles or approximately 60K miles total; under the 80K signup bonus for the AA personal credit card as well as the 65K signup bonus for the AA business credit card.

If you choose less expensive Central Pattaya hotels such as P Plus or Golden Sea, you might even be able to book 3 weeks free with the 80K signup bonus as I’ve seen these properties run about 25K AA miles per week. Check out our interactive map of popular Central Pattaya hotels for more ideas.
