How to Complete Your Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
Last Updated on September 27, 2025 by admin
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is a mandatory online form for all non-Thai nationals traveling to Thailand by air, land, or sea, replacing the old paper TM6 since May 1, 2025. It purportedly streamlines immigration by collecting your entry details and health info digitally. Here are some tips, tricks, and good things to know about the TDAC.
Don’t be scammed
Submit your TDAC via the official site only: https://tdac.immigration.go.th. There’s no cost for a TDAC. Beware of scam sites charging fees or mimicking the official URL (e.g., tdac.in.th or agents.co.th). They’re not affiliated and could steal your data in addition to taking your money.
When to fill out your TDAC card
Complete your TDAC up to 3 days before your flight. If your plans change, you can update it any time before your arrival. When finished, you’ll get a digital TDAC via email. Download/print a copy for reference if you like. However, all you have to do is present your passport at the counter. No need to show a QR code or printed form despite what you may have heard. Your TDAC is automatically associated with your passport number. Immigration can pull it up when you hand them your passport.
What if I forget to fill out my TDAC?
Just head to the kiosks or free Wi-Fi stations at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) Airport upon landing. At BKK, these are in the arrivals hall before the immigration line queues, just to the right of where you enter the immigration area. If there’s a line, simply connect to the airport’s free WiFi. Select the SSID named “AOT Airport Free Wi-Fi by NT” and you’re good to go.
Is it OK if I book a one way flight and book my return flight later?
It’s absolutely not ok to book a one way flight. The TDAC form asks for your departure information. Whether you’re leaving by Air, Land, or Sea, you’ll need to enter your departure date and a flight number or its equivalent. It’s always been true that you’ve needed to be able to show proof of travel out of the country if asked. Often it isn’t checked, but why risk being barred entry to Thailand?
Before you even think about making this info up (don’t do it), realize you may be asked to show proof of tickets by Immigration. Those most likely to not book onward travel (backpackers in their 20s) are probably most at risk for being asked to show proof of it.

What if I’m staying in more than one hotel?
Just input the details for where you’re staying your first night. Simple.
Do I need to show my TDAC QR code to Immigration?
No. Your TDAC is electronically linked to your passport. Just hand your passport to Immigration and they’ll handle the rest. Don’t believe us? Ask Immigration when you arrive and they’ll tell you.
Do I need a visa to enter Thailand?
Citizens of many western nations don’t need a visa. Read our guide: “Do You Need a Visa to Visit Thailand?”
